Welcome to Edge of the Woods Outdoor Outfitters
We provide a full line of active wear, outerwear, and footwear, as well as hiking and backpacking gear. We will soon be expanding to include climbing gear and accessories. Come in and check out area maps and books for hiking and biking in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area. We would be happy to suggest a great hike for people of all abilities.
We're just getting started, so please bear with us as we increase our product lines. For now our brands and services include Marmot, Kavu, Camelbak, Mountain hardwear, Vasque, Thermarest, Jetboil, Mion, MSR, Teva, Darn Tough, Leatherman, Scarpa, Teko socks, and many more. Check back or stop in the shop to see what outdoor events or outings are going on in our area. There’s big plans for Edge of the Woods, we're planning to organize group hikes and group bike rides with a range of levels, We want to create a meeting place for like minded individuals in the Pocono Mountains. Only about a block away from the Appalachian Trail, and minutes from other great hiking and biking in the area.
We now have rental bikes available, take an afternoon and ride the beautiful Mcdade Trail
Don't feel like hiking alone... Use our guided hiking service. Learn about the history and ecology of the Delaware Water Gap recreation area. Great for family's!

Reviewed by JMez, 2008-08-31 My wife and I visited the "Edge of the Woods Outdoor Outfitters" store yesterday. We were pleased with the friendly, helpful, and courteous service. The owners are passionate about their business, shared information about their products and services with ease, and remained relaxed when I asked for the specifications about the Vasque Breeze hiking boots. We decided to purchase the boots at their store because of their sincere desire of wanting to help us. The front yard display of a few outdoors products, with the clean and pleasant appearance of the store's exterior and interior, is what initially attracted us to their business. The owners' appearance was casual and appropriate for their type of business. If you prefer a home town touch with charm then we highly recommend the "Edge of the Woods Outdoor Outfitters" in Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania for all of your outdoor recreation needs.
Reviewed by mike h, 2007-07-07 Great Shop!! My wife and I were there today and they provided us with a great deal of information. They don't have everything you would ever want in an outfitter but they do have a wide range of items in stock. If you are someone who loves the outdoors and lives in the area or are just passing through, I would definitely make a point to stop in. I would recommend this store to anyone of any ability level.
